1) Declaration.
I hereby announce that(contrary to the statement given with the Read-Me of
my previous level 'The Hand of Orion',which declared that level to be my
final one)
THIS is my final Custom TombRaider adventure. I simply wasn't satisfied with
what I had
achieved(or failed to),and I was certain that I had a better 'final' level
in me.
I hope that this is it.
It's rather too bad if it isn't because there absolutely won't be another.
Due to the sheer amount of time that a Custom Tomb Raider adventure requires
to build,
I haven't been giving my family the required attention that they deserve.
When you get right down to it,Lara simply isn't THAT important!
Nonetheless,I have enjoyed the creative experience and feel satisfied with
what
I've acheived.

2) Installation.
There are 5 levels(all linked).
The House - Tut1.
The Caves - Coastal.
The Barracks - City.
The Tomb - Cleopal.
The End - Karnak.
Simply replace the originals with the TOM files provided, then convert.Start
with the Tut1 level,
and the levels will progress in the above order. There is no need to access
the Main Menu in order to play the remaining levels(indeed, rather the
opposite!)
You will also need the updated wads;the game will not play properly
otherwise.

3) Bugs.
Oh,not too many I hope! However, there is one in the large chamber in The
Tomb.
Please avoid saving after jumping to the alcove with the 'face',which
triggers
open the first door. You may find it impossible to jump into the corridor
behind
this door otherwise.

4) The Gameplay.
All the pick-ups(with the exception of the Crowbar and the Horeseman's
Gem)are only
available in the first level(The House). There are NO OTHERS from level 2
onwards.
You must make sure that you have expored the House thoroughly before you
venture
'beneath',as there is no going back once you commence the 2nd level. At the
very least,
you will need as many medi-packs as it is possible for you to grab!

5) The Story.
Howard-Carter,the Egyptologist who discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun in
the 1920's,
became obsessed with the myth of the 'Horeseman's gem',Tutankhamuns most
treasured
possession. Despite the popular belief that those who touched the gem
would be
subjected to misfortune,Howard-Carter was determined to retrieve it.He
became
convinced that it lay somewhere beyond and beneath the desert Caves, and
subsequently
built a house(with imported English stone)over the Cave entrance so as to
have
ease of accessibility and a convenient base. Unfortunately,he never
managed to penetrate
far into the cave system,as he encountered too many potentialy deadly
impasses.
50 years later, with her aquired tombraiding wealth,Lara purchases
Howard-Carter's
now empty desert Mansion. Her first night in the property was to be spent
quietly with
her new egyptian 'friend',but the old curiosity overcame her.
As Lara, you must expore the old house and find a way to open the door to
the caves.
With that accomplished,...will you be ready to go 'beneath'?

6) Acknowledgements.
As usual,I must thank Mad Housekeeper, who has had to put up with my
'fiddling with
my PC' for the final time.Honestly!
My Beta-testers,who have had to endure incorrect textures and bugs galore!
But that is what beta-testers are for, after all.
And Core Design for having the generosity to provide the Level Editor in
the
  first place!
